Ok, so here's what I learned from the Dr. I have
Patellofemoral Syndrome. In a nut shell this means that my knee cap is moving around too much when I push with my quads from up hill running and uphill cycling.

So, the solution is to build my inner quad by 20%, without
strengthening my entire quad. I
don't know how easy this will be but I do know that this problem is common. I guess this means for the next few weeks I'll spend a bit more time in the gym and not running the roads. No worries, I still have over 2 months until the marathon... Bo-ya-

hey i have THE SAME issue. i use the pt band and somehow, it keeps the knee cap from moving and gets me through those long mileage days.
